Barbados Visa Requirements

You must submit these documents when applying for a Barbados visa:

  1. A copy of your passport. Your actual passport is not required, only if you wish to have your stamp of visa endorsed in your passport. However, your passport must be in the form of a letter accepted by the airline check-in and by the Immigration Officer At The Port Of Entry of Barbados.
  2. Application form. You can download the application form online, print a hard copy, fully complete and sign it at the end.
  3. One valid round-trip airline ticket. A round-trip airline ticket is a document that proves you will return to your country after your visa expires.
  4. Health insurance. A document proving that you have valid health insurance that is still valid in Barbados.
  5. Passport size photos. Your photo must be taken recently, within the last six months.
  6. Proof of residence. This document can be a rental contract, hotel reservation, invitation letter, etc. It must prove that you have accommodation during your stay in Barbados.
  7. Bank statement. The bank statement is a document that needs to prove that you are financially stable and can finance yourself while you are in Barbados.
  8. Letter of invitation. A letter of invitation is issued from a family member or a friend living in Barbados, and it must prove that they will sponsor your stay and that you will stay in their place as long as you are in Barbados.
  9. Criminal record. The criminal record is a document issued by the police authorities of your home country. This document must demonstrate that you are not a threat to the Republic of Barbados.
  10. Flight itinerary . A flight itinerary is a document that describes your flight history such as flight date and time, airline name, return airfare, etc.
  11. A cover letter. Your cover letter must be sent directly to the “Immigration Director,” including the purpose of your visit, length of stay, etc.
  12. Birth certificate or marriage certificate (if any).

How to Apply for an Barbados Visa?

  1. Begin by clicking on the “Login” button, which can be found in the menu on the right side of the screen.
  2. If you haven’t registered yet, please register yourself first. After registering, proceed to log in to the panel.
  3. Once you are logged in, navigate to the menu on the left side of the panel.
  4. Select the “Visa Application Form” option from the menu.
  5. Fill out this form with the required information.
  6. Finally, submit the completed form.

Duration of Barbados Visa

There are two types of visas in Barbados:

  1. Short stay visa, which allows you to stay in Barbados from 28 days to six months. Short-term stay visas are issued for many different purposes such as:

    • Business meeting.
      • Family visits, etc.
  2. A long-term visa allows you to stay in Barbados for one year. Long-term stay visas are issued for a variety of purposes, such as:

Barbados Visa Fees

The Barbados visa application fee depends on the type of visa you are issued. However, depending on the type of visa issued to you, you must complete the payment:

  1. 107 US$ for a single entry visa. With a single-entry visa, you are only allowed to enter Barbados once during a three-month period.
  2. 211 US$ for multiple entry visa. With a multiple entry visa, you can enter Barbados multiple times within six months.

Important: You can complete your Barbados visa fee payment at the bank. Be sure to send your billing address to “Immigration Director,” signed and dated.

Residence Permit for Barbados

If you plan to live in Barbados, you must apply for a residence permit. Depending on your reason for staying in Barbados, residence permits are issued for the same reasons as long-term stay visas, such as:

  1. Work.
  2. Research .
  3. Investment .
  4. Family reunion.
  5. Digital Nomads.
  6. Retired.

To apply for a residence permit in Barbados, you must apply to the Department of Immigration. The residence permit will allow you to stay in Barbados for 5 years.

Note: If you wish to stay in Barbados permanently, you can apply for a permanent residence permit after you have been in Barbados for 5 years on a temporary residence permit.
