Work Permit for Singapore
The Employment Pass (EP), which is granted to foreign professionals working in managerial, executive, or specialised roles as well as owners and directors of Singaporean enterprises, is the primary and most popular type of work visa for Singapore. Usually, it is granted for one to two years at a time, after which it can be renewed. It is now easier to conduct business in Singapore because an EP visa allows one to live and work there as well as travel freely in and out of the nation without the need to repeatedly apply for Singapore entry visas. Having an EP also makes it possible to seek for permanent residence in Singapore at a later date.
The Employment Pass is divided into three categories: P1, P2, and Q1 Pass.
P passes are required for foreign nationals applying for executive, managerial, or specialised roles. EP holders with P1, P2, and Q status are eligible to apply for the Professional, Technical, and Skilled Workers grant, which allows them to become Permanent Residents.
Although there isn’t a set waiting period, a six-month salary record is one of the documents needed. As a result, you should schedule your application at least half a year in advance. Q1 pass holders should, however, wait at least two years before submitting an application for permanent residence.
